The Metropolitan Opera: Fidelio

Following a string of awe-inspiring Met performances, soprano Lise Davidsen stars as Leonore, who risks everything to save her husband from the clutches of tyranny. Tenor David Butt Philip is the political prisoner Florestan, sharing the stage with bass-baritone Tomasz Konieczny as the villainous Don Pizarro, veteran bass René Pape as the jailer Rocco, and soprano Ying Fang and tenor Magnus Dietrich, in his company debut, as the young Marzelline and Jaquino. Bass Stephen Milling sings the principled Don Fernando, and Susanna Mälkki conducts the Met’s striking production, which finds modern-day parallels in Beethoven’s stirring paean to freedom. Witch Watch: Watch Party (Japanese with English Subtitles)

Morihito Otogi, a high school student who comes from a lineage of ogres, enjoys a peaceful, ordinary life until his childhood friend, Nico, moves in with him. Nico is a witch-in-training and chooses Morihito to be her familiar. While Nico is thrilled to reunite with her old friend and crush, Morihito is tasked with the perilous duty to protect her from a foretold calamity. Featuring the multi-Oscar and Grammy-winning composer performing with a full orchestra in an epic performance captured from the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai. With TV and film credits spanning a celebrated five-decade career, Hans Zimmer & Friends: Diamond in the Desert includes celebrated pieces from Dune, The Lion King, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Gladiator and Pirates of the Caribbean to name but a few. Alongside breathtaking musical performances, the film also features personal conversations between Hans and some of his most famous collaborators from across the worlds of film and music, including Billie Eilish, Christopher Nolan, Denis Villeneuve, Pharrell Williams, Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya. Rad Day 2025

In celebration of “Rad Day” – the day of its original release in 1986 – Rad, the BMX racing film, returns to theaters nationwide for a special one-night-only double-feature screening on Thursday, March 20th. The feature will be paired with the world premiere of the never-before-seen documentary, A Rad Documentary courtesy of Fathom Entertainment and Utopia. Recently remastered in 4K, this cult classic film stars Bill Allen (Cru Jones), Lori Loughlin (Christian Hollings), Talia Shire (Mrs. Jones), Jack Weston (Duke Best), Ray Walston (Burton Timmer), and 1984 Olympic gymnastics champion Bart Connor (Bart Taylor). Directed by Hal Needham, Rad tells the story of Cru (Allen), a young man with a dream of making it big as a BMX racer by racing the “Helltrack” and winning the grand prize of $100,000 and a Corvette. Pink Floyd at Pompeii - MCMLXXII

Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith 20th Anniversary

Conductor Joana Mallwitz makes her Met debut leading an extraordinary cast in Mozart’s comic masterpiece. Baritone Joshua Hopkins is the skirt-chasing Count, with soprano Federica Lombardi as his anguished wife and mezzo-soprano Marianne Crebassa as the adolescent page Cherubino. [April 26 and 30]

Grossing the highest box-office of any British film in the US when released in 1975, this "cult classic" comedy from the Monty Python team loosely follows the legend of King Arthur (Graham Chapman), along with his squire (Terry Gilliam) and his Knights of the Round Table (John Cleese, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin), as they embark on a fearless quest in search of the elusive Holy Grail. The Metropolitan Opera: Salome

Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts his first Met performances of Strauss’s white-hot one-act tragedy, which receives its first new production at the company in 20 years. Claus Guth, one of Europe’s leading opera directors, gives the biblical story—already filtered through the beautiful and strange imagination of Oscar Wilde’s play—a psychologically perceptive, Victorian-era setting rich in symbolism and subtle shades of darkness and light. Headlining the new staging is soprano Elza van den Heever as the abused and unhinged antiheroine, who demands the head of Jochanaan, sung by celebrated baritone Peter Mattei. Tenor Gerhard Siegel is Salome’s lecherous stepfather, King Herod, with mezzo-soprano Michelle DeYoung as his wife, Herodias, and tenor Piotr Buszewski as Narraboth. [May 17 and 21]
