HOUSE PARTY follows two house cleaners, Damon (Tosin Cole) and Kevin (Jacob Latimore), as they struggle to come up with some quick cash after losing their jobs. But the savvy guys have their long-term friendship to fall back on as well as Damon's budding reputation as a party promoter. Oh, and they also have access to their last client's house. Since that client was LeBron James, throwing a massive party at his place is the next logical step, if not the most practical one.
In addition to showing off a fondness for the '90s with what director Calmatic dubs a "remix" of the original 1990 movie, HOUSE PARTY gets to shine with a depiction of the friendship between Damon and Kevin. And then there are the pure party hijinks!
We got to talk about that friendship and party-planning wisdom with Cole and Latimore. Co-stars D.C. Young Fly and Rotimi talked to us about the influence of original HOUSE PARTY stars Kid 'n Play, and what it was like to be on set with the legends of the series. And director Calmatic enthused about the process of working with LeBron James, who is a producer on the movie in addition to appearing as an actor.
